Think-Tank Overview

The Think-Tank format involves a great deal of small group discussion and simply works best when neighbors can get together and chat face to face. Due to the uncertainties regarding the pandemic, the rise of variants, the discomfort many people still have with in-person gatherings, and the need to finalize plans in order to best utilize our staff and consultant resources, the Vision & Values project team has decided to postpone the Think-Tank until such time as we can all gather in-person, safely and enthusiastically.

The Falmouth Future Think-Tank will be a four-hour session, which will develop and explore a series of possible trajectories and future scenarios for the community. A detailed report will be produced from the Think-Tank, which will layout scenarios and potential implications.

The Think-Tank is the culmination of what we will have learned from the virtual Focus Groups during the week of 13-23 September. This highly participatory workshop will be using the process of scenario planning. The Think-Tank workshop will really drill down into what people envision for Falmouth’s future and what ramifications, realities, and trade-offs will occur because of those choices.

The Think-Tank will be held on Saturday, 25 September from 8:30am – 12.30pm at the FHS Theater, Library and Cafeteria.

This is a crucial part of the Vision & Values process and participation is encouraged.
