Park Concept Plan #1 – River Walk

Throughout discussions held during the Community Visioning, Comprehensive Planning, and Parks and Recreation Master Planning; the concept of the River Walk has emerged and solidified.

The aim is to capitalize on the public space between the North Platte River and the Downtown.  The Riverwalk Conceptual Plan illustrates the key connection this public park space makes from the west side of Highway 169 to Heritage Park and eventually to Smith’s Fork Park along the new Main Street Trail.  Activating this property with public art, playground, fitness stations, landscaping and possible river access will help create the Downtown as a destination location, as well as an economic hub for the Downtown community.

We would love to hear your thoughts!

Tell us what you think of the future concept plan for the River Walk area, and if there are things you would suggest changing or adding?
