The strategic planning process thus far has involved extensive community and stakeholder outreach including Stakeholder Survey #1, one-on-one stakeholder interviews, a two-day scenario-planning Think-Tank, nine Countywide Strategic Pillar Focus Groups, and two virtual workshops.
To explore the key themes that have arisen through the process so far, six Focus Group sessions were held on February 7 and 8. Held at the Lorain County Community College, these 90-minute facilitated Focus Groups covered six topics that had been identified as critical to the future of Lorain County. Over 180 people attended the Focus Groups.
A key part of the strategic planning process, the Focus Groups helped to synthesize community and stakeholder input from the Stakeholder Survey and the Think-Tank, and explored a set of crucial questions.
To help prepare for the Focus Groups, participants were encouraged to read the Scenario Snapshot informational flyer for a summary of the results that emerged from the Think-Tank Workshop in October.
