The Final Summit was held on Tuesday October 22 at Lorain County Community College with almost 200 attendees. The Lorain County Strategic Action Plan process was discussed, as well as the Short, Medium, and Long Term Actions.
The Lorain County Strategic Action Plan was launched in March 2024. Five pillars were identified in the plan: Innovative Industry and Economic Development, Transportation, Workforce Development and Education, Housing, and Natural Resources. These pillars were the topics of focus for 20 Task Force Meetings held in the summer months. Over 300 individuals attended and contributed to the Task Force Meetings, which were held across Lorain County.
After seven months of extensive engagement, the Lorain County Strategic Action Plan has been released. The Strategic Action Plan represents the analysis of the research and engagement outcomes and outlines how the extensive accumulated data has informed the identification of a preferred future and key strategic action areas for the future development of Lorain County in 2035.
Over 200 people attended the Future Summit, at the Spitzer Conference Center, Lorain County Community College, 1005 Abbe Rd N, Elyria, OH 44035 on Monday March 25, 2024 to celebrate the launch of the Lorain County Strategic Action Plan.

The Lorain County Strategic Action Plan will be used to guide organizational leadership in their planning over the next 5 years. The objective of this strategic planning process is to build on Lorain County’s current success and incorporate new actions to maintain and enhance this success over the next 5 years.
