PROJECT SCHEDULE

Task 1 of the Middle Georgia Innovation Project involves an Industry 4.0 Disruption and Preparedness Survey, followed by Military/Civilian Organizational mapping and Ecosystem Network Mapping. This will culminate in the Middle Georgia Innovation Framework and Ecosystem Report.

Task 2 of the project involves a Regional Innovation Benchmark Study (both regional and national), Regional Comparison Case Studies and Local Innovation Case Studies. This will culminate in the Middle Georgia Innovation Performance and Gap Analysis Report. This part of the project explores how Middle Georgia compares to other states regarding innovation and the innovation that is currently happening in Middle Georgia.

3 working groups are set up after Task 1 and 2 to drill deeper into the findings

  • Start – Up Innovation Ecosystem to focus on building a connected ecosystem that fosters start-up and entrepreneurial culture
  • Industry 4.0 Technologies Ecosystem to focus on building regional capability and readiness for Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Software Engineering Ecosystem to focus on building local capability for software engineering and creating a relevant industry cluster

Focus groups within each of the working groups will develop a 5 year action plan for each group.

The project will conclude with the overall Middle Georgia Innovation Roadmap report with Path Forward recommendations.
