Project Overview

The Middle Georgia Innovation Project is the first step in implementing the regional action plan from the Middle Georgia Charrette and Regional Planning Initiative (2018)

This initiative is funded by the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) and intends to explore the innovation eco-system across the 11 counties of Middle Georgia. Mapping the current eco-system and providing an innovation gap analysis, this initiative intends to build innovation in the Middle Georgia region and establish it as a place which will attract new industry businesses and residents.

The Middle Georgia Charette and Regional Planning initiative produced six strategic pillars, which would support the preferred future generated by extensive stakeholder engagement.

DEVELOPING MIDDLE GEORGIA AS THE “SOFTWARE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE”

To provide continuity to the recent regional planning initiative, The Middle Georgia Innovation Projects focuses on 2 of the strategic pillars that emerged from the regional planning initiative.
