The Think-Tank process has been conducted in two parts via highly participatory 3-hour workshops that produced a preferred future scenario validated by its participants.
The scenario-based Think-Tank is a tool to gain better understanding of priorities and goals that contribute to the creation of effective strategies and actions. The goal of the Flint Hills Regional Council (FHRC) Sustainability Plan and Roadmap project is to assess the value proposition that FHRC provides and increase its strategies to enhance and stabilize the organization and the messaging of the impacts and contributions that FHRC makes to the region.
The first part of the Think-Tank was held as part of the FHRC Board Retreat on December 2, 2022, with additional invited guests to attend the afternoon Think-Tank. The Think-Tank consisted of a presentation of Macro Trends that could impact the Flint Hills Region, followed by Key Driver Identification, Build out of the Drivers and the ranking of the Individual Drivers.
The second part of the Think-Tank was held on January 20, 2023. The Think-Tank included Scenario Narrative Development, Scenario Presentations and Plausibility Mapping regarding the Least Desired, Expected and Preferred Future for the Flint Hills Region.
