Project Objectives

The project’s objective is to create a comprehensive and sustainable 5-year Community Vision and Strategic Action Plan for the City of Essex Junction.

Now that the City is independent, the City wants to provide an opportunity for the community to discuss the priorities and vision for the City of Essex Junction’s future and five year Strategic Action plan.

Community engagement will be key and will include:

Key Stakeholder Interviews and Departmental Listening Sessions
Benchmarking the City of Essex Junction against similar cities and producing the ensuing Benchmark Report
City of Essex Junction Future Think-Tank Workshop and Report
Stakeholder Surveys #1 and #2
Focus Groups with specified stakeholder groups to build out the Strategic Pillars

The final City of Essex Junction Community Vision and Strategic Plan will be presented to the City Council in March 2024.
