The Community Vision and Strategic Action Plan has been developed following extensive community engagement. The engagement process, which ran from August 2023 through May 2024, was designed to provide an open, inclusive, and transparent platform for community members to help create a shared vision looking out to 2030.
Thank you to the over 150 people who provided responses to the City of Essex Junction Stakeholder Survey #2! This survey reviews the results of the first survey, a two-day Think-Tank workshop, several individual interviews, and 6 Focus Group sessions.

The City of Essex Junction Open House took place on January 27, 2024 at the Blue Ribbon Pavilion in Essex Junction. This was followed up with six Focus Groups on January 29 and 30. Participants at these events discussed Think-Tank results, Strategic Pillars, and their favorite places in the city.
The City of Essex Junction Benchmark Report serves as a tool to build an understanding of the basic demographics of the City of Essex Junction as compared to peer communities. This diverse and dynamic part of the State of Vermont is represented in this benchmarking analysis.

Approximately 40 committed residents and stakeholders attended the two-part City of Essex Junction Think-Tank Workshop on Thursday, November 2 and Saturday, November 4, 2023.
