Workforce Program

Workforce has been identified as a key issue facing the six state New England region defense industry.

The NERDIC Workforce program is based on the existing MassTech Bridge, a workforce training model for advanced manufacturing technicians. MassTech, based in Massachusetts, acts as the workforce voice for NERDIC through introducing its MassTech Bridge program to the other five New England states.

This model is providing:

  • Benchmark report on existing advanced manufacturing training systems in New England.
    Regional Advance Manufacturing Roadmap
  • A Regional Readiness Assessment (RRA) took for the Dept. of Defense to evaluation the States’ manufacturing technician ecosystem
  • Train the Trainer online course to onboard new schools and faculty interested in implementing the NERDIC ‘Bridge’ program
