In September 2024, the City of Greenwood embarked on a comprehensive master planning (CMP) project that began with community visioning for the future of Greenwood. The visioning phase concluded with a Future Summit in April, kicking off the second CMP planning phase. Task Forces made up of community members, Steering Committee members, and city staff met through the months of May and June to build out the Strategic Pillars of the Plan.
At least 27 community members and City Staff attended the final Future Summit that launched the draft Greenwood 2025 Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP). Attendees learned about the planning process and cCty progress to date, and participated in dot polling to provide their input on the CMP’s strategic goals and actions. Once the input from the Future Summit has been incorporated into the plan, the plan will be presented to the Planning Commission at their regular meeting on October 21.
