Respondents were asked an open-ended question “What changes occurring in Greenwood most concern you?
When it comes to concerns about current direction, ongoing changes, and ability to adapt, respondents were most worried about traffic and congestion issues, followed by the potential loss of Greenwood’s small-town character caused by overdevelopment. Some respondents worry that the current level of road, street, and public facility upkeep is lagging, and that accelerated development will exacerbate these issues. A number of respondents are concerned about planning decisions being made without adequate consideration of impacts including construction or re-zoning effects on property values. Several respondents voiced worries that local services might become overburdened if development continues without corresponding investments in infrastructure and personnel.
