Prior to the Community Engagement Sessions, the Vermont Forest Future public engagement process had included a community survey, industry roundtables and two think-tank workshops. Participants identified Key Drivers of the Vermont forest economy and how they affect its future. These were then used to identify Least Desired, Expected and Preferred versions of the Vermont forest economy’s future.
The Community Engagement Sessions were then an opportunity to bring more people in to learn more about the Strategic Roadmap initiative, see the initial data, and provide their perspectives. We wanted to hear from as many community members as possible to help us build out Vermont Forest Future Strategic Roadmap.
Four of the sessions were virtual and one was held in-person.
