We greatly appreciate all the time Vermonters have spent this year helping us to get to this point, and we hope you will find this to be a helpful window into our work of the last nine months to recommend a conservation plan to the Vermont General Assembly by June of 2026. We are sharing with you the initial framework, or outline, we are proposing for the Vermont Conservation Plan.”
– Trey Martin, Director of Conservation, VHCB
We want to hear your thoughts! After reviewing the Framework Report, please take the survey and/or make a custom submission below. Please note that custom submissions will be maintained as a public record and may be subject to disclosure under the Vermont Public Records Act.
The survey will allow you to respond and comment on each objective and potential pathway. We strongly recommend you read the Framework Report prior to taking the survey, and suggest having the report with you as a reference as you complete the survey.
The survey will close Friday, November 28, 2025.
The second revision was finalized June 25, 2025, and presented to the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) in July. The objectives and pathways were presented at the Regional Listening Sessions for input in July and August, 2025. Many stakeholders requested more detail about Vermont Conservation Design, upon which the report is largely centered.
The first revision was finalized June 12, 2025, and presented to the TAC for review and input. The largest piece of feedback was a need for additional context. Reference to the work that led to this framework (Phase 1 engagement opportunities, existing conservation initiatives, Vermont Conservation Design, etc.), was needed to explain the process and context.
