This chart acts as a secondary scenario validation tool, that reflects the scenario matrix developed during the Think-Tank workshops. Survey respondents were asked to react to series of key topics or subjects, which are defined on the axis on the scenario matrix. The key topic questions were:

• Take a regional collaborative approach to help manage resources, utilities and climate adaptation.
• Expand business diversity and innovation capability to build a year-round economy.
• Proactively manage urban design to protect local character and community feel.

COMMUNITY DIRECTION – How important do you think the following approaches are to helping shape the community direction in Traverse City? SCALE: 1 = Not important; 10 = Extremely Important

• Take a regional leadership approach to build the City influence in key decisions.
• Invest in building the socio-economic systems to create a balanced and liveable community.
• Design and support community amenities and programs that builds a strong local community.

Survey participant responses were combined under the theme headings, and then plotted over the scenario framework matrix. The larger the bubble, the more responses selected on that point of the chart.
