Distribution of Money Towards Transportation

Survey respondents were asked, “If you were Mayor for a day, how would you distribute $1,000 towards transportation?”.
Respondents were given a number of options and could mark all that apply.

This chart shows how the survey respondents would distribute funding towards future transportation.

Key things to note:

The majority of respondents felt that it was a priority to fund the repaving of existing roadways, followed by building and repairing sidewalks and then building/repairing trails and widening exiting roadways.
This was followed by providing more parking, installing and repairing marked crosswalks, building a dedicated bikeway and improving the transit service.
