Trust Between Parents and the School District

Respondents were asked about the trust relationship between parents and the Smithville School District. They were asked: Trust between parents and School District is critical. How do you think this trust relationship is changing? (-5 = Trust levels are declining; 0 = Staying the same; +5 = Trust levels are improving)

Key things to note:

  • Approximately 29% of survey respondents considered trust levels between parents and the Smithville School District to be staying the same, 47% think trust levels are declining to some degree and 24% think trust levels are improving.
  • Those in the 40-49 years old age range felt the most strongly that trust levels are declining.
These survey results indicate a need for the School District and parents to collaboratively work together to build trust in their relationship.
