Parent – School District Collaboration and Trust

Collaborative Partnership with Parents (X Axis) x Trust Between Parents and School District (Y-Axis)
This chart combines responses to two questions to create an interactive scatter plot. This chart presents the average results based on all respondents. You can hover over the chart to reveal more information on each circle. The chart is structured as follows:

  • X-Axis is the response to the question “There is a desire to build a strong collaborative partnership between the School District and parents. How important is it for the School District to invest time and effort in building strong collaborative relationships and partnerships with parents?” (Scale: 1 = Not at all important; 10 = Critically important)
  • Y-Axis is the response to the question “Trust between parents and School District is critical. How do you think this trust relationship is changing?” (Scale: – 5 Trust levels are declining; 0 = Staying the same; +5 = Trust levels are improving)

Key things to note:

  • This graph shows that survey respondents consider building collaborative relationships and partnerships between the School District and parents is very to critically important.
  • At the same time that building collaborative relationships is considered important, survey respondents were not as confident about the trust relationship between parents and the School District. This is an area that will require additional study throughout the strategic planning process.
