Building Capacity and Capability

Respondents were asked whether the Smithville School District has sufficient capacity or capability to adapt and succeed in today’s rapidly changing world. They were asked: To be an innovative and successful School District, it is important to have sufficient capacity and capability to continue to evolve and adapt to changing needs. Do you think the Smithville School District currently has sufficient capacity/capability to adapt and succeed in today’s rapidly changing world? (Scale: -5 = We lack capability; 0 = Just right; +5 = More than enough capability)

Key things to note:

  • Survey results indicate that 25% of respondents think the Smithville School District currently has sufficient capacity/capability to adapt and succeed in today’s rapidly changing world, almost half (49%) of respondents lean towards a lack of capability, and 23% lean towards having more than enough capability.
  • The implications of these survey results point to the need to build the School District’s capacity/capability to adapt and succeed in the future.
