Mid-Century Heritage Economic Development Approach

Preserving Current Mid-Century Heritage and Design (X-Axis) x Mid-Mod Mile Development (Y-Axis)
This chart combines responses to two questions to create an interactive scatter plot. This chart presents the average results based on all respondents. You can hover over the chart to reveal more information on each circle. The chart is structured as follows:

  • X-Axis is the response to the question “Littleton has a unique history with a mid-century orientation. Many of the homes and buildings reflect this time period. How important is it for the city to focus economic development strategies on maintaining and preserving existing housing and building stock in Littleton?” (Scale: 1 = Not at all important; 10 = Very important)
  • Y-Axis is the response to the question “The Mid-Mod Mile holds several iconic mid-century buildings along Littleton Boulevard. How important is it to focus efforts on celebrating and further developing this heritage and design along Littleton Boulevard?” (Scale: 1 = Not at all important; 10 = Very important)

Key things to note:

  • The size of the circle denotes the popularity of the response. It is clear from this graph that the majority of respondents participants considered mid-century heritage preservation and design, especially along Littleton Boulevard to be important, although there were some who did not consider very important.
  • The responses can be filtered according to respondent age, years lived and/or worked in Littleton, zip code, ethnicity, and stakeholder affiliation.
