Barrier to Success

Survey respondents were asked to rank the following potential barriers to success in creating one common over-arching mission, set of values, and strategic plan for the chiropractic profession.

Scale: (1 = most significant – 7 = least significant)

  • Philosophical differences / Lack of understanding of divergent viewpoints
  • Egos / Personal agendas
  • Lack of focus / Commitment to the process
  • Inability to agree on priorities and goals
  • Lack of buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Resistance to change
  • Unresolved conflict

Key things to note:

  • The highest ranked barrier was ‘Philosophical differences / Lack of understanding of divergent viewpoints’.
  • Egos and Personal agendas scored second highest.
