Task 1 was designed to gather significant and relevant data, leading to the discovery of expected and preferred futures for the future of solid waste management and recycling in McKinney. This work has been accomplished with outstanding community input into a community survey that received 562 responses, and participation in three Think-Tank Modules during the month of September. Task 1 of this project has achieved some clear direction and mandate to now move on and develop a bold comprehensive Solid Waste Management Strategy for the City of McKinney during the next Task phases of this project.
